Meets the needs of the physically disabled and the elderly. Complies with barrier-free accessibility guidelines. Frame and mounting brackets are type 304 Stainless Steel and feature self-locking mechanism. Seat is constructed of durable, water-resistant, 1⁄2" thick solid "phenolic" (Teak wood - color shown).
WHITE PHENOLIC TUB SEAT SUPPLIED
Tub Seats are designed and manufactured to meet specified load ratings. The actual "in use" load bearing capacity of any such product, however, will be limited by the strength of it's mounting surface and attachment method. Thus, the most important factor to consider when installing a grab bar or tub seat is the surface on which it is to be mounted. We recommend that it be installed using 2" minimum thickness "in-wall" solid wood backing material laminated into the Fiberglass Bath Tub Walls and mounted to the unit with #10 x 2" Stainless Steel, Phillips head, Sheet metal screws or #10 - 24 Stainless steel machine screws.
